Climate test chamber

Europe’s largest climatic test facilities

Large-scale climate testing for energy, defence and industry

Sirris enables large-scale climate testing of machines, vehicles and energy systems. We validate performance, safety and reliability under extreme conditions, from arctic cold to desert heat. Uniquely in Europe, we offer both the largest fixed climatic chamber and a large and modular mobile chamber for on-site testing.

Mobile climatic test chamber  for on-site testing

For systems that cannot be easily transported or when you require very long test campaigns, Sirris developed a unique mobile climatic test chamber for large-scale on-site climate testing. This modular facility is installed directly at your site, allowing realistic large-scale climate testing in the operational environment of your system.

Size and deployment
  • Total chamber size: 20 m length × 7 m width × 9 m heigh
  • Modular build-up system transported in 5 standard sea containers
  • Installed on site in about 1 week
  • Designed for large, heavy or non-transportable systems
Temperature
  • Temperature range: -40°C to +60°C
  • Suitable for: cold start behaviour and hot climate validation
  • Designed for: full-scale testing in an operational environment
Typical applications
  • Wind turbine drivetrains and large gearboxes
  • Large electromechanical machines and infrastructure
  • Energy transition systems that cannot be shipped to a test site
  • High-value systems requiring on-site validation
