Does it make sense to install thermal storage? Can we produce hydrogen in the North Sea? Can a ship run on batteries? How do you move towards net zero?
At Sirris, I work as a Project Engineer in the Offshore Wind Infrastructure (OWI) team on projects that support the energy transition. I help companies answer these questions with clear technical insight and realistic solutions. I combine a broad engineering perspective with expertise in mechanical design, additive manufacturing, vibration analysis and data interpretation. I focus on solutions that are technically sound and ready for industrial application.
Are you facing a technical challenge in the energy transition? I will help you turn it into a concrete and workable solution.
Expertise
- Mechanical design
- Dynamics & vibrations
- Renewable energy systems
Work experience
During my PhD at VUB, I collaborated closely with the additive manufacturing and noise & vibrations teams at Atlas Copco. My work covered mechanical stress analysis, modelling and experimental validation. After a short postdoctoral research period, I joined Laborelec (ENGIE R&D) as a Vibration Engineer, focusing on predictive maintenance and vibration analysis for steam and gas turbines worldwide. In 2025, I joined Sirris as Project Engineer within the OWI team, working on industrial challenges linked to the energy transition.
Studies
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering – VUB (2024)
- Master in Renewable Energy Technologies – VUB (2020)
Professional motto
