Workshop

Boost your machining performance with data and practical insights

Your machines are talking: are you listening? | Thor Park Genk - Dutch

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, used for operations like turning, milling and drilling, are a core part of modern metalworking. These machines, whether state-of-the-art or legacy equipment, generate valuable data that often goes untapped.

In this workshop, you'll discover how to access, interpret and apply machine data to optimise cutting parameters, reduce unplanned downtime through condition-based maintenance, and monitor performance and energy use with real measurements.

Through expert insights, live demonstrations and practical case studies, you’ll see what’s already achievable today, without the need for heavy investments or complete system overhauls.

For whom?

This half-day workshop is aimed at production, maintenance and operations managers in machining companies in the metal sector.

Key takeaways

This event goes beyond theory. You’ll leave with concrete insights on how to:

  • Identify and simulate the most efficient cutting conditions for your operations
  • Capture and use relevant data from both modern and legacy CNC-machines
  • Apply predictive maintenance strategies that reduce downtime and preserve production continuity
  • Explore the impact of data on energy efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness
  • Take home a structured approach to testing and improving your maintenance strategy
  • Get inspired by real-world use cases, such as the EUREKA-NRPCES project

Programme

During this session, experts from Sirris will use practical examples and live demonstrations to show you how you can measure, analyse and use machine status, cutting conditions and maintenance parameters in concrete terms to make your production process more reliable and efficient.
