At the request of the foundries and their customers, Sirris will start another foundry technology course in the autumn of 2023. The series of lessons consists of a combination of traditional location-based sessions - at Sirris in Zwijnaarde - and online sessions. This course offers you practical, in-depth knowledge of all the technological and production-related matters that are important in making castings. The teachers can draw on years of practical experience and accumulated knowledge, which is also reflected in the content and materials of the course.

Cast products remain an important basis for many finished products. That is why Sirris supports this sector and its customers, even in these difficult times. We are doing this by way of several initiatives, including the foundry technology course for the employees and customers of foundries.

In this course, Sirris bundles the expertise and knowledge that the collective centre has built up over decades. The teachers are mainly internal foundry specialists, but a number of external specialists from the business world will be teaching parts of the course.

The course, made up of five modules, is aimed at advanced technicians, novice engineers, foundries, and buyers of castings, ... To test the knowledge you gained during the course, you can take an exam free of charge. This is done in consultation with the teachers after each module. You will then receive an exam certificate.

The course starts at the beginning of September 2023 and runs until April 2024.
