Denis Vandormael
Are you developing a product that integrates miniaturised elements or micro functions? As head of the micromanufacturing lab at Sirris, I support you in the design and production of components with functional details ranging from 1 mm down to 1 µm. Together with my team, I turn your ideas into concrete, reliable and industrialisable solutions.
I work on projects that span from micro-mechanical, optical and fluidic components to larger devices integrating micro functions. I also contribute to the development of embedded intelligence solutions. What I enjoy most is seeing how these technologies find applications in diverse fields such as medtech, aerospace and industry, and how they help improve everyday life.

Work experience
Before joining Sirris in 2009, I worked for more than ten years at the Centre Spatial de Liège, where I specialised in micro-optics and microfabrication. This experience allowed me to build a strong technological and experimental background, which I continue to put at the service of companies today in fields ranging from medtech to aerospace and industry.
