VVGT studieavond | The Green Deal and the Green Deal Industrial Plan: what are the challenges and opportunities?

The focus will be on the impact this will have on the foundry sector, but also on the opportunities that might be seized.

The European Green Deal is a package of policy initiatives intended to help the EU with the green transition, with the ultimate goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 by means that include a more circular strategy that creates less pollution.

A holistic and cross-sectoral approach is being pursued: all relevant policy areas must contribute to the ultimate climate goal. The package includes initiatives on climate, circular economy, environment, energy, transport, industry, agriculture and sustainable finance, which are closely interrelated.

During this study evening, Patrick Van Den Bossch¸ Strategic Advisor Green Transformation at Agoria and Joris Van Valckenborg, Energy and Climate Expert at Agoria, will explain the most important parts of the Green Deal and the Green Deal Industrial plan. The focus will be on the impact this will have on the foundry sector, but also on the opportunities that might be seized.
