Tom Jacobs

After graduating Tom started his career with Sirris in the machining department, which would later on evolve into the 'Advanced Manufacturint' Department. This evolution could be noticed in Tom's knowledge domains as well: he loves to work with several production technologies, from material to finished product and the entire organization surrounding this production process. His main interests will always lie in the smart handling of material removing machining techniques, such as complete machining and precision machining, next to cost estimation and machining of composites.

Tom has been involved in several European and Flemish research projects, and he has also worked with SMEs as well as large companies, to solve very diverse problems in production processes.
