Julien Magnien

Julien is specialised in laser cladding, 3D scanning and SLM technologies. In 2010 he joined the Additive Manufacturing Department, spending most of his tome working with several AM technologies, such as Laser Metal Deposition, Laser Beam Melting and Electron Beam melting. He combines this expertise with a basic knowledge of techniques in polymers and ceramics. Since he regulary gives general presentations on the subject of AM, he has a certain overview of all additive technologies and hence he is able to act as first and general contact in the domain.

Julien has gained thorough experience in 3D measuring optics (on a ATOS GOM machine), for the measurement of piece dimensions or the production of virtual replica of existing pieces.
