Jeroen Tacq

Before Jeroen started working at Sirris, he worked in the industry for two years, doing research on additive manufacturing (laser cladding and laser metal deposition).

Jeroen graduated as a Materials Engineer at KU Leuven in 2011 and finished his Ph.D. on residual stresses in cold rolled pearlitic steel in 2015.

His knowledge and interests range from casting technology and corrosion over sustainability and life-cycle engineering to additive and hybrid manufacturing.
