Tools and materials for product development, from idea to makeable design

Need help turning your ideas into tangible, marketable products? Come to Kortrijk Xpo on 7-8 November for the next edition of the Prototyping trade fair. Sirris will have a stand at the fair and will make a contribution.

Howest Industrial Design Center and Xpo Kortrijk are joining forces once again for the Prototyping trade fair. It focuses on the entire design process, from idea to the realisation of a business model and the production of small series or a zero series. Topics for this edition include ‘Product development of the future’, ‘Designing products with AR and VR’, ‘Circular or sustainable design is the future’, ‘Additive manufacturing’, ...

Companies and research centres present their technologies, materials, tools and techniques to materialise all your ideas on the exhibition floor. Sirris will also be there with a stand (no. 664), where you can see all kinds of developments, such as a 3D printed watch.

Prototyping is also a networking event to inspire you about the importance of good, integrated product development and innovation. That is why seminars and real-life case studies are presented in cooperation with exhibitors, guest speakers and knowledge partners during the exhibition. They will bring inspiring stories which emphasise all steps of a design process. There is also room for matchmaking and the exhibitions will definitely inspire you.

Sirris expert Simon Vermeir will make a presentation ‘The AM Integrated Factory - Certified 3D printing’, about the concept of the AM Integrated Factory, which Sirris launched at the end of 2017. Today this is the key to confirm customer trust in printed components. The presentations will give you an idea about the methodology used for certified 3D prints.
