'Space for Innovation' brings space closer to your business

Space technology and know-how provide our world with infinite innovation opportunities. How far is space from your daily activity? ESA Space Solutions Belgium aims to bring you closer to space. On 7 November ESA and Verhaert will launch the Space Solutions Belgium Center during their 'Space for Innovation' event.

Five years ago, Verhaert has been appointed by ESA to facilitate technology transfer in Belgium. Today, ESA and Verhaert are reinforcing their collaboration by building up a new solution: the ESA Space Solutions Belgium. Under this contract, Verhaert will not only pursue technology transfers within Belgium, but also start the incubation of start ups together with their partners imec.istart and Galaxia Space Innovation. By integrating these two activities together, ESA and Verhaert will support any actor of the Belgian Space ecosystem in terms of valorisation, expansion and innovation and bring space and terrestrial industries each day more closer.

Are you an entrepreneur exploring new business opportunities? An engineer looking for cutting-edge technology? ESA Space Solutions Belgium connects space companies to other industries and helps you to find funding to realise your challenges. On 7 November you can get in touch with space technology providers in Belgium through 15-minutes meetings with experts from various fields of the space industry, and you will be inspired by interesting keynote speakers who connect technology, space and start-ups: Angelo Vermeulen, Dany Robberecht and Sirris's own Omar Mohout will bring stories that encourage you to innovate. In a moderated panel discussion, entrepreneurs and engineers will testify how they benefited from technology transfer and business incubation.
