Receive our market study on the application of adhesive bonding in offshore and marine sectors

Qualify project partners Sirris and Damen are performing a market study on the application of adhesive bonding in offshore and marine sectors. The study gives an overview of the current state of the application of adhesive bonding in various sectors, focuses on the challenges and advantages of technology in offshore harsh environments. It presents several case studies showing successfully performed industrial projects. You can receive it by helping us!

The combination of steels and composites in adhesively bonded structures can reduce weight while preserving strength, leading to lighter and stronger structure.

QUALIFY - 'Enabling Qualification of Hybrid Structures for Lightweight and Safe Maritime Transport' - is a cross-border collaborative project co-funded by INTERREG 2Seas Mers Zeeën Programme. The consortium comprises five knowledge institutions, three end-users and two classification societies. The Qualify objectives are as follows:

  • Evaluating the long-term structural performance of the adhesively bonded hybrid joint under representative operational and environmental conditions
  • Developing a reliable inspection and maintenance methodology for adhesively bonded hybrid joints
  • Developing a procedure (Guidelines) for the qualification of adhesively bonded hybrid joints in primary structures in marine applications

Sirris and Damen, as Qualify project partners, are performing a market study on the application of adhesive bonding in offshore and marine sectors. We have developed a survey to map the market potential for the application of hybrid adhesive bonding in various sectors within the 2 Seas area, i.e., the coastal areas of England, France, Belgium (Flanders), and the Netherlands. The survey helps us to better reflect on the market needs, challenges, roadblocks and potential future developments.

Please take a moment to complete the following Qualify survey. We have extended the deadline till 15 May. By participation we will have your e-mail address and we will send you the final market study report once it is ready.
