Impact of artificial intelligence on intellectual property policy: call for comments

The WIPO is collecting insights from businesses on a document setting out issues posed by AI in the field of intellectual property.

AI is used in all industrial sectors where it models significant technological and commercial developments. This growth gives rise to a certain number of questions related to intellectual property. In the last quarter of 2019, the WIPO, World Intellectual Property Organization, organised various discussions with member states and other stakeholders to formulate these considerations collectively.

An open process has now been initiated to structure future discussions on the impact of AI on intellectual property policy.
