Estimate your machining costs within Industry 4.0

Everyone is looking at 'Industrie 4.0' and is busy digitalising: connecting machines, making dashboards, integrating sensors, etc. However, we have noticed that in these processes the basis, the processing itself, is often regarded as secondary or even completely lost sight of. Productivity is achieved first and foremost through high-performance machining processes, which is why we want to use a webinar series to brush up on the basics of machining operations and make the link to the '4.0' or digital evolution.

Many businesses, including many companies with a metalworking activity, are striving towards Industry 4.0, or a far-reaching digitisation of production. However, digitalisation will provide insight into the possibilities for optimising the (machining) processes, but is not in itself the solution.

Digital success stories appear in companies that initially manage their (machining) processes well, from programming to swarf. For this reason, we are once again organising a series of short webinars, which will make the link between basic knowledge of machining and successful digitalisation.

In the first webinar on 3 September, we will provide an overview of methods for estimating machining costs using process data. This can be done both on the basis of in-depth process knowledge using machine learning techniques and supported by software packages. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages. Determine which method best suits your company or products.
