Icing mitigation
Workshop

Workshop and Networking event - Icing mitigation and monitoring solutions

Icing has been posing challenges to the optimal and safe operation of ice-prone systems such as aircrafts, wind turbines, power lines, roads, trains, ships or others.
Icing has been posing challenges to the optimal and safe operation of ice-prone systems such as aircrafts, wind turbines, power lines, roads, trains, ships or others.

Although icing mitigation and prevention methods have been studied heavily since the early 1900s, modern technology keeps providing improved solutions or alternative options to be implemented. In this workshop you will hear from five experts about the latest trends and solutions regarding icing mitigation and ice monitoring, which are being developed for several ice-prone systems. Furthermore, we will hear an inspirational story of a young start-up and how it is tackling the icing problems with its coating solutions.

Take-aways

During the workshop and the networking event you will:

  • Hear about the latest trends in coating solutions used in ice mitigation
  • Learn about how advanced ice monitoring and detection solutions can be implemented in your assets
  • Get inspired by discovering potential new markets
  • Make new contacts in this domain during the networking session

Join us to hear from these experts and ask your questions directly during the networking session afterwards!

Specific for the networking event:

At the end of the workshop, a networking lunch will be provided. Due to the nature of this format, this networking event will only be open to the participants who are physically present. However, in the registration form, you will have the option to leave your contact information for other participants for networking purposes. If you accept, your contact information will be shared with the other participants. Feel free to contact the organisations that are willing to provide their information.

This event is organised as a part of the COOCK project Fighting Icing which is funded by VLAIO (project no: HBC.2019.2495).
