Thor Laser Innovation Lab – powered by Sirris
This new lab combines research and production capacity in one integrated environment with the following machines:
- 5-axis industrial laser texturing machine (United Machining – GF, Switzerland), ready for series production
- 5-axis pilot & contract manufacturing machine for prototypes and R&D (Lasea, Belgium)
- 3-axis R&D lab machine (Lasea, Belgium)
- Supporting equipment (injection molding machine, microscopy, etc.)
A climate chamber was built for this lab to keep temperature and environmental conditions extremely stable. For femtosecond and micro-laser processes, this control is essential to ensure precision, reproducibility, and industrial reliability. The combination of different wavelengths, beam shaping, high power and industrial upscaling within a controlled environment is unique in Europe.
