Can cobots support your operators?

Sirris has built a new demonstrator for making the opportunities offered by cobots more tangible. In this specific demonstration an operator is supported during the assembly of a smart product. We will introduce it to you on 28 November.

Collaborative robots (cobots) are designed to work safely together with people in a shared working environment. The principle is rather simple: creating an extra employee in order to assist the operator by carrying out specific tasks. It often involves pick-and-place handling and (light) assembly tasks. Although there are also cobots that carry out tasks requiring a sense of ‘touch’, such as polishing. In other words, cobots can be deployed in a wide range of sectors to carry various types of tasks.

Within the context of the Testing ground 'Operator Support’ Sirris has built a demonstrator for making the opportunities offered by cobots more tangible. In this specific demonstration an operator is supported during the assembly of a smart product.

Would you like more details about collaborative robots or watch the demonstrator at work? On 28 November you can get to know more about the possibilities of this demonstrator live at our site in Kortrijk. Our experts will be at your disposal to exchange ideas and answer your questions.

You will find more information about the event in our agenda.
