Workshop on revolutionary technologies in micro injection moulding

Micro injection moulding has become the standard process for mass production of micro components. To give you an insight into the state-of-the-art in micro injection moulding at various knowledge centers in Europe, Hi-Micro and Change2Micro are organizing a joint workshop. In addition, the achievements obtained in these two recent projects will be highlighted.

The workshop, which takes place at the Sirris site in Heverlee on 30 September, will focus on the state of the art in micro injection moulding technologies. The continuous trend towards product miniaturization and multifunctionality embedded in products and micro systems calls for an ever increasing innovation, research and development within the European manufacturing sector. Precision micro parts are the key enabler to product functionality and performance in a broad range of applications in life-sciences, medical devices, consumables and telecommunication facilities. Micro injection moulding is the de facto industry standard process for mass production of micro components.

Next to giving you the necessary insights into the state of the art in micro injection moulding at various knowledge centers in Europe, the workshop will highlight the achievements obtained in two recent projects Hi-Micro (Europe) and Change2Micro (Flanders). Sirris's SMALL-Lab is a project partner in the latter.

You can find further information on the workshop in our agenda.
