Unique keynote speaker boosts the Made Different Award within the framework of Industry 4.0

The presentation of the first 'Factory of the Future' Award is already promising to be a must for virtually all Factories of the Future looking for networking partners. There is now another reason for not missing this event: the keynote speaker is Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Zühlke who is the main German authority on Industry 4.0. A good reason for being available on 3 February 2015 and another reason for coming along!

It will gradually emerge which manufacturers have undergone a sufficient number of transformations to call themselves 'Factory of the Future'. The first ever Belgian 'Factory of the Future' will be announced on 3 February. Made Different, which is keeping a very close eye on the evolution going on in the industry, will announce the nominations and then the ultimate winner.

Everybody's a winner

The companies eligible for the award are good examples and sources of inspiration for other businesses in the manufacturing industry. In addition, another hundred companies are working hard at becoming a factory of the future. They can also provide you with a source of inspiration!

The award ceremony is the perfect moment to experience live how other companies have dealt with transformation, as well as being an ideal time for networking with people in the sector who share the same aspirations. It will be an opportunity together to make our manufacturing industry more globally competitive. This is why every manufacturing company in the country can be a winner. Yours too!

Why are the awards one of the most important events in 2015?

Because you don't only meet the first Factory of the Future in Belgium and all the other companies who are well under way towards achieving this status, but also because you can find out everything you need to know about the future of the manufacturing industry and also about Industrie 4.0 from the expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Zühlke. This bonus in the programme is reason itself for moving the date of the award ceremony.

Detlef Zühlke is the initiator of the SmartFactory KL e.V., the intelligent factory of the future: in this first European demonstration factory, the technical infrastructure for everyday living and ideas emerging from practical experience are researched and the latest ICT technology is converted into automation. This concept fully fits in with the Industry 4.0 project that promotes computerisation in the manufacturing industry in order to create the Smart Factory. Most experts believe that Industry 4.0, the title refers to the 4th Industrial revolution, can become a reality within the next 10 to 20 years.
