Study Mission to Japan on world class manufacturing at high level

From 16 to 20 November, the EU-Japan Centre is organizing an intensive five-day course for European senior executives. The programme consists of various lectures and a visit to 4 or 5 Japanese companies.

The purpose of the trip is to provide the participants with a detailed insight into the Japanese approach to world class manufacturing (WCM). Via lectures and practical examples it will be demonstrated how Japanese companies achieve and maintain high quality production standards.

The following topics may come up for discussion: lead time reduction through streamlined information and production flow, the lean concept and WCM approach in Japan, quality systems, line balancing, synchronized production from order to delivery, etc.
