Spotlight on innovation for foundries and their customers

The event 'Casting provides the route to tomorrow’s products' on 30 March will not just be focusing on the latest ovens recently installed at Zwijnaarde and the related services, but also on other initiatives for the foundries sector and customers for casting products.

Manufacturing industry is preparing for tomorrow and foundries are certainly not being left behind. Foundry products remain an important basis for a whole range of end-products. This is why Sirris and Agoria continue to support this sector and its customers via different initiatives including the investment in two new ovens.

The programme for 30 March includes:

  • Pierre-Marie Cabanne, Manager at Sorelmetal Technical Service, giving the keynote reading titled "Les nouvelles fontes GS et l’énergie éolienne".
  • Tim Berckmoes from Anglo Belgian Corporation will be discussing the next generation of diesel engines, the task of local innovators.
  • A number of foundries and their customers will be speaking during the panel discussion, chaired by Marc Lambotte, CEO of Agoria

This is followed by the inauguration of the new pilot foundry and a guided tour of the new infrastructure.
