Join the NANORA trade mission to Tennessee!

NANORA (Nano Regions Alliance) will organise a "Convoy” trade mission for nanotechnology companies to visit Tennessee on the 16th-22nd of May. Tennessee has now enjoyed more than five years of growth since the end of the recession in 2009. On this business trip you will visit leading manufacturing companies and make important B2B contacts. On top of that, the trip offers excellent opportunities for networking with participants from several European countries.

The U.S. economy has been enjoying stable economic growth for years. One of the states displaying particularly strong levels of growth based on a robust industrial core is Tennessee. Over the last years the automotive sector in particular has grown exponentially and there are other sectors, such as medical technology or the chemical and materials industries, that are strong as well. These developments open up significant business potentials for European companies active in nanotechnologies. With TTIP expected to be concluded in the near future establishing and expanding trade relations with U.S. companies is going to become easier still. Joining the action now thus offers great advantages.

Company visits, B2B meetings and in-depth exchange

To exploit these opportunities the European nanotech network NANORA and the platform Hessen-Nanotech invite you to meet Tennessee’s most important companies during a five-day trade mission. The tour includes stops in Nashville, Knoxville and Kingsport. Each stop will offer you valuable information on the market and the local companies and players.

The programme will include a host of company visits, including Volkswagen in Chattanooga, Alcoa and Denso in the Knoxville area, and Mahle and Eastman Chemical in the east of the state. In addition to those visits there will be a range of opportunities to meet U.S. entrepreneurs in B2B meetings. Beyond that you will get to know Oak Ridge National Laboratory, one of the leading technology developers in the U.S.A. And there will also be time for in-depth exchange with the other participants in the trip coming from different European countries.

The participants will have to pay only for travel costs to Nashville and the hotel costs; transport in Tennessee is organized by NANORA and free of charge for the participants. There is no fee for participating.
