The implementation of additive manufacturing in practice

For more than five years ASML in the Netherlands has been using additive manufacturing (AM) to lower costs and increase the efficiency of photolithography systems. Bart Gysen, Head Designer and AM metal competence owner at ASML will be the keynote speaker of the ‘Design for Additive Manufacturing’ Masterclass.

ASML is currently the world’s biggest supplier of photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. The company manufactures machines for the production of integrated circuits, such as CPUs, DRAM memory, etc. With more than five years of AM experience ASML has more than 30 AM units in production, where each unit is specifically designed for AM and its full potential can be realised.

As head designer and AM metal competence owner Bart Gysen is perhaps the best person to tell the story of the implementation of AM at ASML. He will paint a picture of the daily challenges in using AM in production and share insights into further developments and the AM roadmap.

If you would like to attend this keynote address and ask your questions about AM to Bart Gysen, then attend to the Masterclass ‘Design for Additive Manufacturing’ on 30 September, 1 October or 23 October! For more information click here.
