Additive manufacturing expert Benjamin Denayer to be moderator at the AMEC

On June 21, the CECIMO Additive Manufacturing Conference (AMEC) will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels. Sirris will also be contributing to the event and will moderate one of the sessions.

The Additive Manufacturing Conference, organised by CECIMO, will take place for the fourth time this year. The focus will be on the use of AM in many sectors. Aerospace, the automotive industry, health care, railways - these are just a few of the sectors in which 3D printing technologies are seeing strong growth.

The emergence of additive technologies could lead to a new wave of innovations in manufacturing. If Europe wants to lead this next round of innovation, it will have to lead the way in industrial technologies such as AM on a global scale. The AMEC brings together EU policy makers and key market players so they can provides insights into the top additive manufacturing applications and to debate the role of the EU in actions intended to put Europe at the forefront of technological developments.

Sirris will be contributing its extensive expertise in additive manufacturing to this event. AM expert Benjamin Denayer will act as moderator for the session 'Additive Manufacturing at the heart of the next production revolution: Discussing Europe's position in the technology's ecosystem’.
